Digital Landscape Preview

One of the toughest things for a landscape client to do is to picture what the usual construction blueprint will look like on their landscape. To someone who is not used to looking at blueprints, it looks like a random collection of lines, squares and circles that bear no resemblance to the landscape that you see every day. It might be colored nicely, but where is the oak? And what will the patio look like against the house?

LP&D uses the digital landscape software that starts with “before” photographs of your landscape and then previews what the landscape will look like after the job is done. The photos below show a pair of photographs before construction and then the digital preview image. Imagine how this kind of preview will help you “see” your new landscape design.

This is the front walkway of a historic home in Green Bay. The clients wanted a strong initial impression when people walked up to their doorway. A fence and mixed shrub and perennial planting guided people to the front door in a gentle planting arc.

This De Pere client had dead space between a garage wall and retaining wall. What could be done with it? LP&D designed a small pool and plantings on the terrace of the wall. This gave another feature to the yard and made it a showpiece rather than an eyesore.

The Howard owners had a hard time imagining what the new construction and walls in the backyard would look like with plantings. The preview showed them the grass and shrub plantings that would fill in a lovely woodland setting.

RESIDENTIAL PORTFOLIO

The front entry of this small house in Green Bay needed a redo. Bricks where falling off the porch area and the area seemed unbalanced next to the rest of the house. A new porch was installed using round concentric shapes seen by the owners from classic gardens in Britain. Concrete planters and a full shrub and perennial garden made a cozy entrance.

The backyard of this Fox Valley home was unusable. There was a steep pitch from the house to a wooded ravine behind. A series of boulder walls created terraced areas for entertaining and play for the growing family. The boulders were chosen to give a natural look to the backyard.
